Just have to get this off my chest. My sister just called me from out of town to ask if I wanted a 3mo old female gsd. The #%$&heads who bred the litter can't sell her so they're going to take her to the pound. I'm temped to call and tell them I'll take the dog if they get their dogs fixed. I would take her except I have an 11mo old gsd I'm trying really hard not to screw up training already.
How bout this...a few weeks ago, my trainer asked me if I was interested in another GSD. I said I would think about it...it was a male out of German working & showlines, originally cost them $1200. They were getting rid of it because she was pregnant and they already had a special needs child. The dog was only 11 months old...I decided no on the whole thing because I do not need a third dog, but I'm still angered by the whole situation. Some people just shouldn't have the responsibility of a dog.
I am fortunate enough to have another outlet to scream about stuff like this. I just gave the breeders whatfor on the radio and a listener called in and is taking the pup. A happy ending this time. I just hope they don't keep breeding.
