I'm finally making the switch. I'm going to start off with the diet that Ed recommended on this page. But I'm not sure of the portions that I should feed my 70 Lb., 5 year old male GSD.
He's lean and muscular. I do exercise him and he has a lot of drive and apparently an active metabolism.
I realize I'll need to tweak the portions, but at this point I'm looking for a recommendation as to the size of the portions of the meats and vegetables. Can any of you give me something with which to start? Thank you.
For the analytically minded, the spread sheet is a great tool for getting an idea about portions. You can calculate how much you need to buy for the month, etc.
Just chose your portion ratio, and the type of meats you fed, and the spreadsheet does all the work for you.
