I was in a sporting goods store walking through the pet food section and saw a new kibble they were stocking. It's called NUTRO. I'm trying to educate myself on the diet but it takes awhile for things to filter out hear to the sticks. The lady said alot of Vets are recommending it so they started stalking it. The bag I was looking at was called NUTRO'S Natural Choice. Just wondering what people know about it, good and/or bad.
I use it because they don't use corn, when's the last time you saw a herd of dogs grazing in a field? I also add mackeral. It's not nearly as good as RAW or BARF but it's conveniant
I went back to Nutro after being on BARF (I still think BARF is better but one dog had perianal fistual surgery and it is easier to regulate his stools for me with the food, metamucil, and a stool softener --- and the other -- well she is so food driven i use her kibble for rewards).........I had one GSD live 15 very healthy years on their food. They have actually been around a long time....I was feeding it in 1986.
Maybe there is more expensive more premium stuff out there but it seems more than adquate. I like the lamb and rice as my PF dog developed an allergy to chicken (which also made BARF more of an issue)
