I'm glad I read this about the pseudo drugs. I thought they were just as effective, but if they're not, then I won't be trying to use them. I want my dog to be 100% reliable and it sounds like if she's trained with pseudo scents she won't be.
I'll see about checking with the DEA in a couple of weeks when I have more time. My husband is leaving on the 20th to go to Fort Leonard Wood in Missouri for MP training (they have a dog program there, too) and he'll be gone for 3.5-4 months so I'll have plenty of time to work with Gypsy. She's going to be tested for therapy work in August and I want her to be performing at her peak as far as obedience goes, even though it isn't required.
