You're right - it is new less than a year old I believe it is 10 months old.
I'm not really into the new registries but I really like this registry and suppossing I ever have a pedigreed dog, will use it. From their website, it looks like there are a lot of hunting groups, around here there is more weight pulling/conformation.
The person I learned about NADSR from has been very involved with it and used to work for CKC. I trust his judgement. What I have learned:
1. Their conformation is not political, but judged on the animal's structure. In theory it's great, but dogs do come to the ring without even a bath or brush-up.
2. They physically go visit/tour commercial kennels and will not accept registries for kennels below their standards - no pood-a-pom-a-cock-a-doodle-poo dogs here!
3. Altered dogs can show in conformation. Mixed breeds can compete in working competitions.
I think I mentioned NADSR before somewhere on the board...maybe a PM...
