Can not get my puppy to bite with a full mouth. Holds well and is getting calmer. Don't think he is stressed and is biting in prey. Have been trying several things but don't want to make this to long. Any sugestions? Thank you in advance
Mitch,
I would strongly suggest just following the steps outlined in the video's:
Training DRIVE FOCUS & GRIP with Bernard Flinks - Video 101E
Preparing Your Dog for the Helper with Bernhard Flinks - Video 310-D
And don't hesitate to spend as much time as needed to build your foundation here. It's human nature to want to rush and get your dog to the more advanced stuff all the while thinking "well....his grip will get better on it's own...".
Honestly, the time spent working on the *basic* steps of grip building will pay off big time in the future, trust me on this!!
