This is actually bad news for the dog world.
Unethical breeders have been using fake testicles to cover up a dog's mono-orchid status for a long time in the AKC conformation rings ( even some AKC judges got caught pulling this scam in the past <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> ), this will just empower a whole new generation of crap breeders to cover up their dog's flaws. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
You got it Will, my thoughts exactly. Here's a funny story I heard from a Chihuahua show person years ago. There was a dog that had an implant due to monorchidism. When the judge had him on the table doing the typical body rub fondeling thing he looked puzzled. The undropped testical had made a surprising appearance. So this dog had a mixed bag of nuts (sorry I couldn't resist.) The owner was suspended from showing for a while. I don't remember how long. I learned of all sorts of things people did to win. Some of it was downright shocking but that's another story entirely.
Look on the bright side, young men (usually) who thinks walking w/a dog (usally pit) without balls is not "manly" can now neuter their dogs and still retain their feeling of "manhood"......a good way to control the dog population
