Greetings from A Winter Wonderland (aka Michigan)!
I have a 10 week old GSD puppy and I like to take him out for three walk per-day: one in the morning, afternoon, and evening. We're up to 3/4 of a mile per day in walks.
However, the temperature is falling as we approach winter and he is an indoor dog. What temperature should it reach for me to give him light duty? What is too cold and what is too long to be out in it?
Thanks in advance for all your posts and advice.

James - you want to be careful about over exerciusing puppies. Read the article I wrote on Correct Positioning for hi-xrays - at the bottom of this article there is a section on prevention. If the total length of the walks is 3/4 mile you should be OK - if each walk is 3/4 mile this is not what we would be doing here.
