CLICKER/MARKER TRAINING

Learning to give MARKERS is basically the beginning of learning timing in your dog training. Good timing is critical to every aspect of dog training. The timing of marking a behavior and the timing of giving a correction is something new handlers must learn if they are ever going to effectively train their own dog.

This clicker was designed by the trainers at Karen Pryor Clicker Training. It has a quieter and less harsh click. It is designed to be conveniently clicked whenever you need it to with whichever finger. It's small size means it can be hidden in your hands and even so, still clickable as well.

Marker training (also called clicker training or operant conditioning) is one of the most profound systems of dog training that I have seen in my 50 years of owning, breeding and training working dogs.. In its most basic form, it's a method of communication that is very clear for dogs to understand. Dogs learn the marker language quickly and when they do they thrive in training.
