The Difference Between Management, Obedience Training, and Socializing

Posted: 11-27-2018 • Length: 7 Minutes, 23 Seconds
Categories: Basic Obedience, Behavioral Problems, Ed Frawley, Leerburg Training Videos

Many new dog owners, especially those who have rescued a dog, get through the 2 week honeymoon period only to find out that their new dog has issues. They then think they should take their dog through a local obedience class only to find out 6-8 weeks later that their dog has the same behavioral problems and nothing has changed. The reason for this is their new dog needed to be managed differently, and obedience training or socializing had nothing to do with problem solving their dog's issues.

This video is taken directly from our training DVD and online course, Basic Dog Obedience.
