Michael Ellis on Why We Teach Puppies Place Beds
In this video from Raising Your Puppy, Michael is going to show you how to start basic puppy instruction for place bed work or raised bed work. And so the principles here are very similar to the principles for teaching foot targets. We start by luring the puppy up onto the place bed and get them comfortable on it. The difference here when working on place bed work is that we don't use any of our markers. You want the puppy to get on the bed and be comfortable on the bed, but you don't want the puppy to think that it has to sit still. So, on the bed, the difference is the puppy can move around where in foot targeting you want them to stay still.
