I suffered awful anxiety after a pit bull escaped its yard and almost killed one of my dogs. While both she and the uninjured dog recovered, I could not and now I walk my dogs loose in a cemetery that I manage because I do not want my nervousness to influence them. I also carry a 2-foot-long tactical taser. You do what you have to do.
