The HS ClicLock Prong Collar combines Herm Sprenger's trusted Prong Collar with the convenient ClicLock buckle system—giving you a complete collar that's ready to use right out of the box. Ideal for individuals with reduced grip strength or arthritis, the ClicLock allows you to easily put on and remove your dog's prong collar without wrestling with traditional centerplates. Getting a normal prong collar on a dog can be a chore for a dog that doesn't want it put on—this ClicLock conversion makes it easy to snap it on and take it off your dog.

Each collar comes with the ClicLock buckle already installed, replacing the standard centerplate. The ClicLock is made from durable stainless steel with a breaking load of 440lbs.

The Herm Sprenger Company has been a leader in the dog training market with their high quality training products for many years. Herm Sprenger uses only the best materials and prides itself on their high standards. Leerburg is proud to carry a wide variety of Herm Sprenger collars.

Prong collars do not apply pressure to the dogs trachea, making them a safe alternative to a slip collar, and much safer than allowing your dog to pull into a flat collar which can cause permanent damage to the dogs wind pipe. Instead a prong collar tightens, creating a pinching sensation that is instantly released once the dog "yields to the leash" or stops pulling.

Leerburg strongly recommends using a backup collar any time you are using a prong collar is on your dog. For more information on back up collars and why we recommend them check out some of our free streaming videos on the proper use of a prong collar as well as the prong collar leash. We recommend our dominant dog collar as a backup collar. We also recommend using a prong collar leash that we make here in WI.

Prong collars should NOT be used with a retractable (flexi) lead.

For more information on how to size a prong collar, read our article here.

Remember that prong collars can and do come apart by accident. If you train with a prong collar make sure you also have a backup collar on your dog in case the prong comes apart.

Dog training is never without risk of injury. Do not attempt these techniques yourself without consulting a professional. Leerburg Enterprises, Inc. cannot be responsible for accidents or injuries to humans and/or animals.
