Product Description
This shows our over the shoulder police leash. It's 3/4" wide with 2 stainless steel snaps and 3 "O" rings. This leash can be worn over the shoulder to quickly secure a dog or it can be used in training as a longer training leash. With multiple O-rings it is easy to change the length of this leash to fit your needs.
MEASUREMENTS
1st fixed ring is about 4 inches from the snap. 2nd fixed ring is 24 inches from the snap. 3rd ring is 54 inches from the snap. Snap to snap is approximately 75 inches.
Need it to be longer? Perhaps a pull tab would be the solution to give the extra inches needed.

Leerburg leather products are works of art.
The cow hides used to make all of Leerburg's leather are hand selected for Leerburg before tanning. We need and use the thickest hides available. Our hides go through over 85 steps in a tanning process that takes over a month. There are many types of Latigo leather that are made in Mexico, India, or Pakistan, but none can compare to the quality of Leerburg’s Latigo leather.
Once tanned, our Leerburg Leather is delivered to the Amish family that crafts our leather products right here in Wisconsin. Our 4 Amish craftsmen have been making Leerburg leather products since 1990.
These 5 Amish craftsmen hand cut, sew, pop-rivet, and tailor all of our leather products. We have yet to come across another leather product that measures up to our products' quality.
In 2015, we switched from using brass or bronze hardware to stainless steel. Stainless Steel is stronger and lasts a lifetime. You can go and find a cheaper leather product somewhere else, but the quality will not measure up to our products.
100% of Leerburg leather products are made in Wisconsin. We don't use leather from India, Pakistan, or Mexico.

I have a Leerburg 6’ black leash with brass that I’ve had since 2001. Right now that leash is 23 years old! The only reason I’ve just come back another is because I have 2 dogs now. I thought I’d try out this lead because of the versatility and multiple options it can be used for. The rings are great for poop bag holders, the poop bag loop for used poo, the apple tag so my kids don’t lose it!

I bought a police leash a few weeks ago after watching the video on how to break up a dog fight and it came in handy today when I had to break up two females who were in a major battle. Without that leash I'm not sure how I would have separated the two. I looped the leash around the back end of one and dragged them both to a kennel where I slammed the door on the other one. Done deal. I live alone so the leash was a life saver. Thanks so much for the video and the suggestion on how to use the leash.

I appreciate this leash for so many reasons. My super high energy Mal. He works great with this leash and my fiance bought it for me because my mother has two female Aussies that used to be a part of each other's pack and the younger one decided to take over the pack. I have broken up many fights. Luckily by these two I have never been injured. They got in a fight today. I used the leash just as instructed as I am a size 2 female. I had zero problems breaking up the fight. It saddens me because these are my brother's dogs and he just left them

This is a fantastic leash! I have a 10 month old 68lb labrador that I am raising for a guide dog organization and purchased a similar style leash from a competitor because it was slightly cheaper. After two weeks of use my dog yanked against that leash on an outing and broke it. Leerburg's leash is of MUCH higher quality and I have no fear of it breaking. It is extremely versatile for walking a dog in crowds or letting him have more freedom in the open. Great for training! Softened up after the first use. I would highly recommend it. This is a heavy duty leather leash. Strong leather with high quality clips. I have had my leash almost a year and it has been through a lot but still in perfect condition. I walk my dog and hike with this leash regularly. The leash itself is heavy, but that is the only con I can think of. You can wear it multiple ways which is convenient. I have 3 Boxers, 11, 8, and 4 months. I love police leashes for their versatility. You can wear it over the shoulder for a single dog. Change it to several different lengths for different situations or your personal preference. You can use it to secure your dog to a stationary object if the need arises. When i take all three with me somewhere or to the trail walking i can take two leashes. One police leash to secure each older dog (one on each end of the leash.) one for the puppy.
Enough about how much I like these leads. You can find them at different stores. The problem I always find is the quality. The leather is always stiff and dry or thin and just feels cheap. I have dealt with it and just conditioned the leashes like crazy with leather conditioner. Till now! I Ordered this lead from Leerburg and the quality is top notch! Wow! I just got this leash and as I was fooling around with it, the leather softened up in my hands.
What a great leash! I can wrap it around my chest and have a two-foot, hands-free leash (with the prong collar adapter, it's two and a half feet). I can unhook it from my chest and hook my end back to the first ring and get a six-foot leash. I can hook my end to the second ring and get a four-foot leash.
I have a big, dominant dog so I'm always folding up my six-foot leash in my hands to keep my dog closer to me. The chest-wrap position is a perfect distance from me and easy on my hands.
I got the leash because he is a dominant dog and I wanted the protection in case of a dog fight. But having gotten this one, I'll send the dominant dog leash back and get another Police Leash instead! One to use and one to put in my pack as a back-up for emergencies. I love it!

I absolutely love this leash. I use it specifically when bringing new puppies into the home with tethering when doing my groundwork, it is lightweight and easy to use. Recently I had a dog fight break out in my home, and as the only person home I am so happy I had this leash. It really worked exactly how the video 'How to Break Up a Dog Fight' showed how to use this leash in a dog fight situation. As soon as the fight broke out, I immediately went and got my leash and safely and effectively parted the dogs using Ed's great instructions. It was the least stressful dog fight I've ever witnessed and less injuries on the dogs because I was calm and able to react quickly and efficiently with the leash. Thanks Ed and Leerburg for selling this leash and the great instructions on the video. As a mom who's home alone with 130+lb Cane Corso Italian Mastiffs, I always know how to regain control in a high stress situation if it ever presents itself. Even though we don't ever expect certain things to happen it's best to have the right tools to help keep you safe and handle the situation.

I'm buying my second police leash. Large brass clips and rings with strong leather, this leash can wrap around a tree or your chest, you can lengthen or shorten as needed and is an overall diverse accessories to your dog outings!

I have had this leash for seven years, and it is my favorite by far. It's great for hands free control when we go jogging. I even clip my house keys to the O ring when I don't have pockets! I've also used it multiple times for agitation work, and it's as strong as the day I bought it. At the time, this was the only leash of its kind I had seen - every dog site has one for sale now. However, the ones I've seen that other people had ordered were nowhere near as strong and durable as mine. The leather and the hardware is all top notch. Good job.

We've had our police leash for about 8 years and it is the best, we are constantly stopped by people asking where we got it because it is so useful, flexible and sturdy. It's great for loose leash walking or if you have a big dog - a bit of extra power when needed (squirrels). And it even looks nice :)
