My 8 month old dog chews on the car. What can I do?

Full Question:
Hello,

I have a problem with my 8 month Bassett Hound chewing the car. I have tried toys and things he is allowed to chew on and he's not interested but he dose not do it all the time. He's only left for about 2 hours but I go and check him every half hour. I've tried anti chew spray and he got immune to it. What can I do? It's making me depressed.

Cindy Cindy's Answer:
Get a travel crate for your vehicle and keep him in there. Give him a suitable toy or bone to chew on in his crate.

He's a puppy and they are going to chew if you don't control the environment. If you can't use a crate in your car, then I would not leave him in there unattended. Why let him practice this behavior?
