You offer many ecollars, which one would work best for my situation?
Full Question:
Cindy,There are so many choices from you product offering. I'm uncertain as to which one is best for me.
I have purchased the electronic collar training DVD (as well as Dominant & Aggressive, Tug, Rewarding with food and a few others) and currently own a "Petsafe" brand ecollar and its effectiveness is disappointing.
A bit of background: I have a 3 year old Doberman/Greyhound (75 lb) cross problem who is fast, athletic and has A LOT of drive. He is a rescue dog I have been handling for 18 months and is doing very well overall. We have completed 4 levels of obedience and have now moved to agility where he is excelling. I am working towards allowing him to go off leash in a large car free but not enclosed environment (several thousand acre woodland and trail park) which is very convenient to my home. He is not aggressive, well socialized but has high prey drive and becomes aroused and distracted easily.
The challenge: I am training to accomplish my goal in a large enclosed field where I can ensure safety, but inconvenient (not close to my home). I have attempted to use the electronic collar and hand held remote to call back when prey distractions arise. The dog is very determined and will run through the correction and beyond the range where the collar is effective VERY QUICKLY. I currently have him fitted with harness and 50 ft rope trailing as a safety net. In an ideal world I'd like to be able to have him off leash, no ropes dragging and within range of me at all times. I am committed to working hard to achieve this goal.
Any suggestions towards product selection of training technique are greatly appreciated.
Many thanks for all that you do.

Cindy's Answer:
Hi Shawna,
I'd recommend the video Training the Recall.
As for ecollars, I'd suggest taking a look at our comparison chart.
You can take a look at all the models you are interested in and compare the features and price side by side.
