We have a 10 week old that is doing great but gives no warning that he needs to go. What helpful advice could you give to help?
Full Question:
Hi,We have purchased training items from you in the past for our german shephard. Well we have a new situation. We have a 10 week old Boston Terrier that is doing great he pees and poops on command outside, but inside his crate he gives no warning that he needs a potty break. During the day I take him out every couple hours and have stuck to the crate training. But at night, he pees in his crate without letting us know he needs to go, even though I wake up acouple of times to take him out. He has not made any mistakes in the house, because we don't allow that situation to happen. What helpful advise could you give to help us out. Thank you for your time and wonderful DVDs.

Cindy's Answer:
The first thing I would do would be to rule out a urinary tract infection. It’s not uncommon for puppies to have a bladder infection that interferes with potty training.
If he checks out ok, you’ll just need to let him out more often during the night for now. Every pup is different and some of them need to be woken up more often and taken out until they are a bit older.
You may want to check out our our housetraining ebook and Your Puppy 8 weeks to 8 Months (if you don’t already have it).
I hope this helps.
