Matthew Criner Webboard User Reg: 01-22-2006 Posts: 169 Loc: Offline	My puppy is breathing hard (like he is hot) all the time. It is a little bit hotter in the house because it is really hot outside, but its not really hot or anything. Should I be alarmed?

Obstructions of the nose, tracheal problems and laryngeal problems can present with rapid breathing. It can also be indicative of a heart problem. JMO. Rapid breathing in mildly warm weather that doesn't slow after resting inside would make me call my vet.

I also forgot to mention that my AC in my car is not working and even with the windows rolled down it is very hot, and he travels with me. Could this be making him too hot? He still has very HUGE drive. He is never tired, I don't even see him sleep anymore.

My regular vet never said anything to me about panting as a symptom of kidney failure/disease. But my homeopathic vet did ask about panting and whether the dog prefer sun/shade. Apparently, the panting is/(can be with certain dogs) a symptom of kidney problems. What would you do if your own body was perspiring with no significant or sudden weather temperature changes? By the way, what IS the temp in your house? Like what if you were well rested, laying down, and were just sweating constantly? Plus, not sleeping? If it were me, I'd at least be calling the doc.
