I am fostering 3 puppies and 1 had been throwing up 3x yesterday and by late evening and today, having stools like water with white objects that look like rice or white bread. Looks gross!
There can be all sorts of side effects. If you have a puppy vomiting and not watery stools I would get to a vet. Depending on the size of the pup they can get dehydrated quickly.
There is an abundance of information on here abou vaccines and such it is will worth the read.
I have seen puppies get very lathargic (spelling) from vaccines and well as coming down with the virus that they were injected with, yes, even though it is a dead virus.
White objects that look like rice can be worms. If the pup was wormed, the dying worms in the intestine give off toxins, thus making the pup sick. Dead worms would be consistent with what you're seeing. Keep them from becoming dehydrated, and keep a close eye on them. Are you asking about vaccines and worming hypothetically, or because this is what you suspect? If the pup had not been wormed and was doing this, I'd get it to a vet.

The puppy was given 10ccs pyrantel pamoate and Solo-Jec 7 canine distemper-hepatitis-Parainfluenza-Parvovirus Vaccine Modified live virus Leptospira Bacterin.
The puppy was perfectly fine until receiving the above medication.
That was interesting reading! It's hard to let go of "old school" training if you know what I mean. The public has been led to believe their vet is always right.
I live in the South and parvo and heartworms are prevalent. You are afraid not to treat it and after reading the above link, now I am afraid to vaccinate after what I am going through. One out of three dogs got ill from vacciniating. The one that got sick I am sure was VERY stressed out.
The dogs I am fostering were abused in the sense they grew up in a feces laden garage and were not taken care of in their short lifetime. So now, if anybody adopts them, it looks like there could be some problems in the future.

Who in their right mind would ever give this toxic cocktail to a PUPPY????? What were they expecting the reaction to be?
I'd like to see vets start to get sued like medical doctors do; God knows, they often deserve it. Does no one think for themselves anymore? Or do they just do what the drug companies tell them to? Sick. And people wonder why I have hopes that my youngest will never meet a vet.
The majority of idiotic vets do. More and more vets with half a brain are doing one vaccine at a time...several weeks apart. That is an absolutely preposterous combo...all on top of a dewormer. Way too much for a little body to handle.

I am lucky, my vet takes a minimal approach at vaccines, only parvo & distemper, and of course rabies as that is required. I never knew about the potential for harm from vaccines until I joined this forum, and by then my boy had already had these. I did have a dog once that had a severe allergic reaction to her 5 in one vaccine. Swelling face & lips, hives over entire body and a trip to the vet for treatment. They said it was probably the lepto so never gave that again.
