I have a rottie who just made 3 months. when looking at him he seems typical. once he starts moving around, I notice his really long legs. my other 2 rotts didnt look like this. his mom and dad are big but dont seem to be "leggy". he has a half brother I saw who is a little over a year old and also looks leggy. Im almost certain its just because theyre still growing pups that'll be slightly taller, but is it possible I may have a "handsome girraffe"? hehe.. I'll try to get pics up later today..

This is a pretty broad generalized comment Collin, but the Rotts that fill out and look mature very young don't seem to hold up that great. At three months mine looked more like a skinny Dobe than a Rottweiler. Be patient.
:-D he does have a great overall appearance, just really leggy..LoL. I really wanna get pics up but it wont be for another 5 hours (someone is supposed to be working, not typing on leerburg.com haha). am I allowed to post pics or do I have to post links?

Hi Collin,
Nothinag at all to worry about. He is a handsome boy, very nice in my opinion.Rotts dont really fill out and get ther true adult shape and overall size up until 2 to 3 yrs old.My boy was alot more leggy than yours when he was that age. He's two and a half now and filling out rather nicely.Between the ages of one and two his head was rather narrow in comparisson to his body that was starting to muscle up and thicken a bit.As soon as he turn tow his head started getiing nice and blocky and large, real masculine looking. At 2.5 he's really looking good.Sit back relax and enjoy your young pup, they're real goofballs at adolescent stage. He's a real nice looking fella, nothing to be concerned about.
Hi Collin, such a cute picture of your boy. He looks like he may be alittle taller then some rotts, I had one that look simular to him at the age and he developed into a fine looking dog. Don't need to be concerned.
thanks folks...I'll try to get more recent pics up. hes now 13 going on 14 weeks.. I love that little guy...hehe. if any of you have a myspace, he has a gallery just for him..hehe
