just wondering if this is a good brand to use to supplement, been using gel caps for the dog mixed in his food but I wanna get liquid and give to Zeus and also my cats
I buy the salmon oil they sell here- that brand anyway. IT is Grizzly Salmon oil. I have also bought sardine oil. Maybe someone else here has used it the brand you are asking about? My dogs love anything fishy added to their food, not to mention the nutrional benefits!

Looks fine, but this one: http://leerburg.com/47.htm
is cheaper, if I'm reading it right...... $30 as opposed to $44.
EDIT: I'm wrong: It was $24.95/quart; not $44.95. How is the shipping?
Unless you are going to use the same brand the dogs use, BTW, then deodorizing is probably a waste of money. They like it.
Distilling is good, for the mercury-heavy fish..... so you want either molecularly-distilled (and tested for metals) --- or one of the low-mercury fishes (salmon, herring, anchovies, and the one you linked us to). Leerburg's is salmon.
Don't forget that the dog uses up E to process oil supplementsL:
The link didn't seem to have very clear ingredients listed for specific products. I wouldn't be happy to buy it and then find out it wasn't pure fish oil.

Good instincts, Lisa.
QUOTE:
In short, when it comes to finding good sources of omega-3, there are plenty of other fish in the sea besides menhaden. But perhaps the most important reason for looking for alternatives is the sustainability of the menhaden fishery. Despite Omega Protein’s reassurances that menhaden are “found in abundant quantities,” the fish’s steady decline is having disastrous effects on the Chesapeake Bay and other coastal areas where the species once thrived. Measured against such ecological damage, the benefits of menhaden oil seem slight. After all, being heart-smart shouldn’t mean being heartless. END from http://www.motherjones.com/news/featurex/2006/03/omega_protein.html
Also, Wiktionary (and other sites) define it as "Any of several species of fish in the genera Brevoortia and Ethmidium, used for fish meal, fish oil, fertilizer, and bait."
Too vague for me. I do not want the type of fish to be a mystery.
I couldn't get into that first one without joining something.
Oddly, though, I just had an email waiting for me from someone sompletely different, telling me about this $33 gallon oil, but saying that he didn't like the literature he was coming up with. It was his article link I posted above.
SO..... I plan to read up more, and so does he. So far, no for me.
