I've not visited for some time, so thought I'd re-register and get back into the forum pages..
My GSD male died in June last year, and although I wasn't intending on getting another dog so soon afterwards - I bought Xena as an 11 week old pup.
She is bred from some excellent working bloodlines in the UK and Germany and is now nearly 10 months old as I write this..
She's proving to be a really good investment, and her early conditioning and training appears to be showing through.
Below the two pictures are some links to video clips of her training this month.
Any views, positive or negative, or advice/experience would be most welcome.
This is the standard of Xena's chase and hold... I'm very pleased at her commitment and determination...especially at less than 10 months old..

Xena's doing wonderful work, looks great to me, and she looks great in still shots too . She's a beauty. I like the way you reposition her rump when sitting at the heel. You can see her wheels spinning when you do that - she's thinking. I do like your Xena, a cool and beautiful girl.
Xena is brilliant! I love how pushy and intent she is on charging into the decoy. Not a very bashful pup now, is she?
Nice calm grip too, even with the helper adding a bit of stress. I wish my pups looked that good at barely 10 months.
Best of luck reaching your goals with her - although considering the intensity of her drive and her rock solid nerves, you probably won't be needing any luck with her. Wonderful videos, thanks for posting!
