I watched Ed's tapes on Puppy Training and Beginning Obedience, I thought they were great. In teaching the pups (7 mos. and 4 mos.) not to jump I tried to pinch the paw/toes but they were down before I even got close, I know I'm not the most coordinated person on this earth but I didn't even come close. Any suggestions? I also see after watching these tapes that I've made many mistakes, if I start from the beginning will this confuse the dogs? Thanks
Thanks Robert, it's nice to meet you. I will order my bionic arm since these pups are so fast. I've tried to catch the paw but as soon as they see my hand coming to them they are down, I guess that's a good thing. I've added the word "phooie" which a whole new word to me!
Cindy, my problem is sorta similar. When I go out into the garage, my dog jumps up to the window. I have to take the curtain down. Of course to get back in I have to open the door and by then he has jumped down. I am perplexed at how to discourage this behavior.
