Good Morning Everyone,
I am a new member to this forum and recent "Ed" convert. I am English and live in the DFW metroplex. I am very excited to announce my new family member "Tazer" (German bred GSD) who is way to cute for his giant paws. He is now 16weeks old,crate trained, walks nicely on the leash, comes when called (even if he is being mischievous but I am sure that will change!)sits, pees when told and has general good manners, essential to my household. This is my second German bred GSD and I have to say they are the only dog breed for me (how biased is that)! The last time I trained it was "choke choke choke." Glad to see that in the last 20 years training has evolved as much as technology! I am reading and studying the word of "Ed" like a thing possesed and am happy to report that I have not resorted to my previous training methods one time to get Tazer to do all that he has accomplished. Do I deserve a treat I wonder...probably NOT!I wondered is there anyone out there who lives in the metroplex(or anywhere for that matter) who might be willing to be a sound board for stupid questions? I have many...

I live in Plano, a suburb of Dallas. You are going to love this site as it will provide you with SO MUCH info and it will be so helpful to you and Tazer. Congrats on your new best friend!
I can help you should you need a good holistic vet, I know of a great one in Plano, plus I also know of a great raw food supplier if you need one.
I am a german shepherd lover as well and we now have two.
One a year old and another 14 weeks old. Male and female.
This site is the most comprehensive dog site I have found and it has provided me with tons of great info, also many well informed people on the forum.
BTW, there are really no 'stupid questions, just people willing to help and educate each other.

Thank you Carol, Khoi and Joyce for the warm and prompt welcome...Yes this is a great site. I probably need to apologize to non GSD owners, I didn't mean to be offensive about other breeds!! Yikes.. big British foot in Big British mouth when I got to thinking about what I posted..LOL

I would love to post pictures but can't see how to. What am I missing on how to do that or am I just having a blond moment?

This is a free account where you can download pictures from your computer to photbucket and then you can copy and paste the direct links for us to view.

Make sure to use the direct link and not the image link. We are only allowed two images for our intro and one image for a tribute to a lost or deceased companion.

The direct link makes for faster load time for the people who have a slower internet access.
