Your dog will love you for it. If you ever have the chance to go to Ewe-topia and herd with Joe Kapalos, don't pass it up. Joe was fantastic. Danke took to herding right away- I'm tickled pink with her performance, and she's absolutely in love with those sheepie-things.

I have been searching for a place where I can train herding with Loki cause I know he would love it, but there is nothing in the area I live in that offers those services I often feel bad for him to have to live in a town cause he's a ranch dog at heart

It is nice when you have two judges there on the same day to qualify under :-) Did you do an AKC HIC as well? Ann - the HCT (Herding Capability Test) is an AHBA event: http://www.ahba-herding.org/index.htm The HIC (Herding Instinct Certification) is traditionally an AKC event: http://www.akc.org/events/herding/ Although some breed clubs like the ACD national club have their "own" HIC with different requirements then that of the AKC HIC. http://www.psychtkennel.com
