Just wanted to share this story, Monday a 3 year old boy wandered off in a very rough wooded forest here in Missouri, he was only wearing a diaper pullup, a shirt, and tennis shoes. All Monday, Tuesday and Wed, searchers and their dogs searched for him. It rained both nights and was around 50 degrees.
Wednesday evening, one of the searchers spotted 2 dogs, and went over to them, and there the little boy was laying in a ravine, with only a shirt and one tennis shoe on. The two dogs were with him. They were not his dogs, just two dogs that found him and was with him. The searcher said that he would not have spotted him if it weren't for the dogs. I am sure those dogs were his lifeline out there when he was all alone.
Just wanted to share this story, it happened a few miles from where I live.
Wow! The little boy is very lucky that these two dogs didn't attack him in the woods. After the boy was rescued, what happen to these two dogs? Did they locate the owner of two dogs?

This part pretty much made me cry: Joshua didn't say much except that he was thirsty, Halpin said. But after two nights in the wet, chilly woods with little to wear, Halpin said the boy wasn't crying or complaining.
"He hung on to me pretty tight," Halpin said. "Outside of a few scratches, he was in really good shape."
All alone, no food or water, over two whole nights in the pitch-black woods, a toddler like that ..... I cannot imagine the giddy relief that searcher felt to pick up that healthy boy and carry him out.
The boy was found about 1 1/2 mile from his home. He said he was going hiking to his grandma's house. He had traved that road before with his dad. The dogs belonged to a neighbor.

I can just imagine his absolute joy in just holding this boy so tight and knowing he was going to be alright.
Pretty damn remarkable considering all that lives in those woods.
Everybody has their beliefs... I say these neighbor dogs were his guardian angels. What a truly remarkable story with such a happy ending!
