This article is about a whole litter of 'young' puppies that were flown from Tulsa to Chicago and a bunch of them died. I wonder how young they were - I thought there were rules for that. They are investigating why they died, but it's very sad.
Truly so tragic. I am not at all surprised because the heat just outside is brutal, I can not imagine the temp in that cargo area!
Frankly, it is really stupid and negligent of A A!
So sad for whom ever was supposed to be getting those puppies.

I was reading something on abcnews.com a week or 2 ago about dogs dying during flight.
I don't know if I should have my new pup flown to me or sent by ground. She offers both options. what is you opinion on this.

With this heat I agree....The heat is crazy. One of the hotter summers I remember. Can't do anything, At 10pm a couple days ago it was still 90ish degrees out....Dogs hate it also
I think it is a personal decision. Many fly critters a lot without incident, so to speak. I have heard horror stories as well as with those that do ground transportation. My personal preference would be to go and pick up the dog in person.
