So that kilo of whole chicken is reasonable? Are you saying $4? That's OK, actually, for one dog, IMO, at about $1.80/pound.
If she weighs about 11 KG (24 pounds) and is three months old, she will need somewhere in the range of 5 to 10% of that 11 KG (24 pounds) a day: 19 ounces to 38 ounces of food. (This large percent won't be forever -- it's because she is growing. )
Before we continue, do you speak Imperial measurements (pound/ounce), or do we need to post in metric?

We really have to be certain up front whether we all speak Imperial or metric in the thread, because a KG is 2.2 pounds. So if someone speaks pounds and someone thinks metric, we'll really have a mess (and a starved or very fat puppy).

Uma, I'm temporarily buried with work, but we'll get there! (No awesomeness here, unfortunately -- just a need to do metric conversions when I copyedit and proofread. )
Would the chicken have to be whole, meaning you have to butcher, or could it be in parts? Can you get parts reasonably? (Chicken backs would be great for starters.)

Now I see my problem... I'm speaking metric but EATING in pounds!!! LOL!
