I didn't know where else to put this, but I'm wondering if anyone else is paying attention to the upcoming murder trial of the San Francisco woman whose dogs killed her neighbor. I think it's interesting that the woman is being charged with second degree murder. Apparently this is because she was present at the time of the attack.
I think that is great. She should be put away for a long time. These owners were idiots. No wait, not hard time, how about an eye for an eye - you guys know what I mean?
My problem is that now people who are pushing dangerous dog laws are going to have that much more fuel for their fires. This could have an impact on US folks doing responsible protection/sport training.
I was surprised by how much impact the "dangerous dog" people have already had. It's undoubtedly old news to everyone here, but I was shocked when the judge at a recent Sch trial told us that it was no longer permitted to use any word related to attack or bite to send the dog in the courage test!
Not that it makes any difference, of course. The dog knows what to do, no matter what you call it. But one could have some fun coming up with substitute words!
As for Marjorie Noeller, I hope she does a _lot_ of hard time, along with her equally culpable husband. The details of this story indicated that these two people are _really_ twisted: raising killer dogs for a lifer prison inmate, adopting him as their son, and sending him "intimate" pictures of his new "mother," some of which apparently included the dogs.
Given that even letting the dog on the bed with you can cause dominance problems, one can guess what _that_ did for her control. Well, I guess we don't have to guess, do we?
A while back this lady made the local news (Redding, Ca) cause she was advertising presa pups for sale in the paper that had been sired by this dog you speak of. She was on the tube saying crap like "Well I just want people to know what their getting."
Jason:You better watch out VanCamp, I'm sure Richards mini could be target trained and he doesn't have very high to jump...Does he...
