Has anyone heard or tried himalayan dog chews? I have not tried them but my sisters dog (american eskimo) seems to like it. I found a link if you have never heard of them and want to check them out. http://www.himalayandogchew.com/?input=product
I'm, surprized. That's alot of milk product. Most dogs don't do that well with milk products with the exception of some yougerts, which most seem to be able to tollerate in small amounts, even ones that tend to be lactose intollerent.
Not crazy about salt being added, either. Just not what I, personally, would feed. But that doesn't mean that they are totally bad to someone else, if given occasionally.
My American Mastiff has one that she has been working on for over a month now and she's only managed to wear down the ends.
My sister's Golden Retriever completely finished the same size one in less than 30 minutes.
I guess how long they last depends on how extreme a chewer your dog is.
According to the website; "The amount of salt included in the creation of these chews is negligible. It is included by the people as a flavor enhancer, not for the flavor itself."
Not sure why, but neither of my two maintained an interest in them.
One of mine actually broke a chunk off and because it is so hard, making it a choking hazard, so I took it away for the time being.
For my two, bully sticks are still preferred.
As long as your dog can't break a chunk off and they like them, I think it could be a good teeth cleaner.
