We have tryed hand feeding it, mixing it with ground chicken, and skipping a meal. the other two like it, no problem. chunks, mixed, whatever We are going to try beef liver after we grab some tomorrow, has any one else had this problem? I'm guessing presistence will pay off but would love an easy fix

That might help disguise it a bit. If not, just feed another liver meat...preferbly beef or pork liver. Not a big deal. But there are many other organ meats you can also feed that are readily available in the grocer market...pork liver & kidney, beef heart, liver & kidney, chicken gizzards, turkey hearts & gizzards etc. I would not worry if she doesn't just dislike one thing. I've ground it raw into batches of RMB and MM and had them turn up their noses at the entire bowl of food. Which is inconvenient when I'm grinding 200 pounds of food at a time. I finally broke down and just cook the liver. Cooked, they love it. Boiled, sauteed, doesn't seem to matter to them as long as it is cooked instead of raw. I figure cooked liver is better than no liver at all. They have the same reaction to kidney. Cooked, fine; raw, no go. Heart and gizzards they like raw. In fact, the mildest outside sear does it for mine, who will leave it in the bowl raw forever.

Non dog related chat, just had to say :-P Logan does like raw liver either, he will only eat a small amount of it...but if I fast him for one day he'll eat it. Calf or chicken doesn't matter. For the most part I just dry it in the oven and use it for treats, then he goes bonkers over it. A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.

I was hopeing no one would notice but I did get my easy answer, a quick cook sounds easy, we did cook liver while they were kibble fed and she gobbled it up I like the Idea of the oven treats, how does the nutrient and vitamin content hold up (or like any thing cooked= diminished) thanks

The B vitamins and enzymes will suffer most. But IMHO, cooked organ meat is way better than no organ meat.
