Cross your fingers! The wife is in surgery back in Ohio, having a ruptured disk fixed. I hate being away for this stuff. I just wish I was there to take care of her.
Just wanted to share my anxiety. No need to reply LOL

LOVE YOU WIFE
I second what everyone has said, and add that I know people, one of them a close relative, who were so relieved and so much better post-discectomy than pre.
Keeping your family in my thoughts for only a good outcome to her surgery. Gotta be very hard to be so far away.
Sometimes we don't appreciate enough what our service men/woman & their families sacrifice for the rest of us.
Ditto to what Anne said.
Sending out healing wishes for your wife David. It's a hell of a sacrifice to be so far away from her.
Thinking of you both, hang in there!
It's got to be tough for both of you to be so far apart while she goes through surgery. Sending my best wishes to your wife for a speedy recovery and a very successful outcome.
Pam is out of surgery and recovery. I talked to her on the phone for a little bit between naps and she said she is already feeling much better. she has also been walking to the bathroom by herself, and eating normally. She said the pain in her legs and aching feeling in her back is gone, and the pain from the incision is nothing compared to the pain she was in preop.
We appreciate all your thoughts and well wishes. I was kind of a mess today until she called. I'm glad it's over.
I hope it went well for her and the recovery goes by fast. I think whenever people are apart geographically, in spirit they can still be with each other...love is intangible and can be sent anytime.
