Would help the company to grow but can expect Nestle to spend more money advertising then sourcing good quality ingredients. The information can be found on the Zukes website.
From the PR it doesn't sound like manufacturing practices will change. I am not a business person but having Nestle help out with marketing and management might be a smart move for Zukes.
I know if I came up with a cool pet product I'd need help from someone in the know to actually market it.
After reading both this and the article linked in the OP, I guess I will withhold judgment for the time being. Zuke's will be an independently operated facility, in the same plant, with the same employees, using the same recipes and ingredient sources.
I guess time will tell if this was a good move from the consumer's point of view. I'm hoping Zuke's will maintain its integrity.
"While we will miss working with the incredible management team at Zuke’s, we are excited that Zuke’s will continue to offer the highest-quality pet treats under the stewardship of a trusted organization like Nestlé Purina PetCare,” Sellers said.

Sounds like they are at least dumping the management team.
"trusted organization like Nestle Purina Petcare" <---that excerpt makes me ill.
According to this article, Zuke's was founded in 1995, then sold to Encore, a "private equity firm," in 2010. The quote above about missing the management team at Zuke's is from the managing director at Encore, who is now no longer involved with Zuke's as a result of the sale to Nestle. My take-away is that he is saying he will miss the management team at Zuke's for that reason.
It is all a bit confusing, and my interpretation could certainly be wrong. I do hope all of the current Zuke's employees are keeping their jobs and that the quality control we have come to expect will remain in place. We shall see......
