I was just wondering, What is the highest priced show dog that you know of?
What is the highest priced working dog that you know of?
I'm trying to get show idea why each think the other is wrong. Is it money, Is it that working dogs are outdated. Is it that show dogs are not functional and are just pretty models?
I'm sure it's in the six figures somewhere.
This is like anything, it's status, social and many things that rich people like to do. There are a lot of RICH people that're into dog shows. I've seen celebrities attend them on Television. Everyone wants the best and who ever is selling is going to go to the highest bidder, that's just human nature I think.
Some of these people would buy a brand new $50k vehicles just to have a little extra room for their dogs. I'm sure there are even bigger stories you can hear.
Well growing up on a farm and being around livestck my whole life Ive learned high priced bulls and rams dont mean a whole lot.Reason being there is always a group of wealthy breeders ,where money is no object, that would take turns paying enormouse prices for each others animals .They could distinguish themselves that way."Ill by a bull from you for $80,000 and you buy one from me for $78,000" so the price is kinda irrelavent.I can only assume some of that goes on in the dog world too!
Stop making excuses for your dog and start training it!
Maybe in the show side of things. I was involved in the Ernst deal. Well, I was trying to negotiate him down. They were asking $30,000. That was just dog. No, you scratch my back I scratch yours. Same with the pups, and the Setters. The price will be what the market will bare. Czech studs are getting outrageous. As long as someone will pay guessy what?
I've actually seen prices on websites for "Executive Protection Dogs" that if the dog was a Sieger, the price tag was near $500K. Don't know that anyone has ever paid anything near that, but I though it was hilarious and whoever came up with that price tag was a nut!
If any interested parties are reading I supply Certified Executive Personal Protection Security Canine Defense Dogs for the very reasonable price of $25,000.
(Does not include the $8,000 handlers course, of course.)
Please E-mail me if you are interested. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
No really, on the serious side I witnessed a SchH III Rottweiler sold to a local Basketball Player for 20k. He came out to a local DVG club trial with some buddies because he heard there would be some really great Rotts out there. He just walked up and offered the guy 10k, thinking it was a joke the guy said 20. . .Scotty said. . .done.
Some people get all the luck. The dog was a joke and had been for sale for $3500 bucks for almost a year. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
