I have a friend who recently had to put down her 12 year old GSD mix from cancer. She has been trying to adopt a rescue pup over the last week and has gotten NO RESPONSE from any of the local places listing puppies.....she is a great pet owner and I was hoping that perhaps someone out there might know of available pups right now that she could be referred to. Please feel free to PM me.
If you are ANYWHERE near NYC, you can take your pick from among dozens. Our shelters are packed, and you'd be doing God's work by giving one of them a home.
