This is my first post so I will try to get right to the point. What is the proper amount of exercise for a GSD puppy between 2-5 months of age? How many minutes of exercise should be completed in total over a 24 hour period? Is there a distance that I should cap walks off at?

James, there is no proper answer. It depends all on the dog and how much temperamet he has. The only thing what matters is that it should be always fun for the dog. Training, exercise or the walk. Never let the dog get boring or exhausted. He should always remember the time with you as a positive experience. Stop when it is still fun for the dog and he is still focused.
