I am lost in these 14 pages as to what you would like to work on.... Pulling, reactivity, cat chasing, separation anxiety, all of the above?
all of the above but not online. i'm getting a trainer.
but what's the problem? no one has that many problems at once? i actually have more problems i haven't posted about.
It was, I believe, an attempt to gain focus in a long thread loaded with defensive posts that often take it off-topic. Since you're not interested, it's moot.
... i can't help being defensive. .... i will stop
Connie, really? what would you have replied to this?
i didn't take that post as in asking what i need help with, i took it as saying that i have too many problems and that this thread is too long.
i meant i will stop being defensive about the crate issue.

yep, he's oversized. i got scared at some point (i'm always thinking he's limping, i'm so paranoid at this point that i'm sure i'm halllucinating because no one else sees it) that because of his size he might have problems and put him on a 'diet' (same food just less of it).
so he gets 2 pounds of raw stuff a day plus treats.
is he too skinny? i can see his hip bones, i can take a pic, and i read somewhere here that this should never happen.
but then again his ribs are not showing.

You should be able to feel all his ribs, and see maybe the last couple.
One pic should be from the side, him standing and you at his level (ground level). The second should be from above, him standing and you above him.
This should be a new thread, titled something about weight.

Well, we all have flaws. Nobody is judging you for that, but maybe you can try really hard not to be rude and defensive to people who are sincerely trying to help.

I hope that's why you're here, too.

I do try but if I feel like I'm being talked down to or judged it's really hard for me to reply nicely.
It's a different story if I misread the post and that I do apologize for.

I'm just saying that trying to learn by posting doesn't seem productive for me, too much gets lost in the process and a lot of confusion happens.
Natalie, there were many on here offering their help. Many other good trainers dropped off in the first 5 pages. When a thread moves away from helping someone reach their training goals, and turns into a love story of sorts, some of us lose interest.
My questions to you were to get the "training" conversation back on track, that's it.
