Ah-ha! I was looking all over for this a few pages back when we were posting a lot of Eagles songs. I LOVE this version of Hotel California. It's on the "Hell Freezes Over" album. Well, I don't know that it's this exact recording, but they do a version with that great long intro. Thanks for posting that, Duane!
P.S. I never got to see the Eagles live. Wish I had!

I heard this lip-synched on a sitcom recently and had a longing to hear Bobby Hatfield (The Righteous Brothers) and his amazing voice again.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrK5u5W8afc (Unchained Melody) and The Stones'
I Can't Get No Satisfaction were the best songs I remember from 1965.
I think The Righteous Brothers also released
You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' the same year (maybe the following year).

Yeah, yeah ..... I remember them.

I was a mere child, but I remember it well. (This was back when I remembered stuff. Now it's all floating around in there, clogging things up, blocking periods like ... oh, like last week. Or this morning.)

Now that might have been in the top five or so of 1965.

I like
Little Red Riding Hood.
I think that something in that song was used there for the first time in a hit record, and I can't remember the name of it. (See? Started failing around 1966.
 )
It's something with a weird name.

No, it was in Wooly Bully.
What the heck was that pedal called?!
ETA
Never mind.

They weren't first.
It was the Wah-Wah pedal.
