Well, and I kinda feel like what I say gets disregarded.
I mean you came asking for advice, right? I have just a wee bit of experience with high-energy dogs, reactive dogs, cat-obsessive dogs, herding breeds. In fact, I have 2 high energy Border Collies relaxing in my living room right now. But when I make suggestions based on what has worked for me, what I see from you is "well lots of people do it differently and I will too." Umm, okay. That is certainly your prerogative; but why come to a forum asking questions, then? It has me confused.
I am lost in these 14 pages as to what you would like to work on.... Pulling, reactivity, cat chasing, separation anxiety, all of the above?
all of the above but not online. i'm getting a trainer.
but what's the problem? no one has that many problems at once? i actually have more problems i haven't posted about.

I'm just saying that trying to learn by posting doesn't seem productive for me, too much gets lost in the process and a lot of confusion happens.
Natalie, there were many on here offering their help. Many other good trainers dropped off in the first 5 pages. When a thread moves away from helping someone reach their training goals, and turns into a love story of sorts, some of us lose interest.
My questions to you were to get the "training" conversation back on track, that's it.
I did apologize for misunderstanding and being rude. I did notice some people drop off and that's fine, no one owes me anything
But I don't understand how this turned into a love story of sorts. Yeah, it's long, I have many problems. Are you saying that I'm posting unrelated info? Maybe, I thought it was all related but maybe it's not.
If someone doesn't want to read it or post suggestions - I understand, I'm just asking for courtesy.
I am actively looking for a trainer, to me getting help online is not working. I either have too many problems or don't explain them correctly and I feel like some of the suggestions I'm getting are based on the fact that I'm painting the wrong picture. So that's where a lot of back and forth come from, not posting a love story but trying to explain how things really are.
Well, and I kinda feel like what I say gets disregarded.

I don't think I reacted that way, the only thing I argued was the crating and only because I felt I had to defend my reasoning. I felt like I was being made to look like either an abuser or someone really dumb. So I felt like I had to explain my train of thought.
Everything else I didn't contest. I might post 'I read somewhere that...' but that's not because I'm not taking suggestions, just wondering why I read what I read.
I'm sure you have tons of experience, anyone here has more than I do. I never said otherwise.
