Today I had my granddaughter so I didn't train much. this morning before it got really hot I got cody out for his morning walk. Today he did very well. Not as fearful, heeled right along with me. Only looked behind him a couple of times. He was very proud of himself. It felt good to enjoy our walks today. Love sharon
Pam was having another surgery on her back. She got a bad infection on the inside and they had to go in and clean it out. She's back in the hospital for a week or so.
I was going crazy waiting for the call that she was out of surgery. There were some anesthesia complications and she had a hard time waking up, so it was 6 1/2 hours later that I got the call. About 3 hours into it, I had to go do something or simply go nuts, so I went to the local animal shelter and trained some dogs for free for a couple hours. It kept me busy and made some pooches easier to adopt.
There were a ton of Pits and PitX, which I really love to train. It was fun and rewarding. I went through 3 pounds of hot dogs LOL It was nice to have a leash in my hands.
I know how that is,my Cody was in the hospital for one week and we waited each day to hear his progress. I pray your dog does well and fully recovers.
TOday is very very hot again, so we will stay inside and train. I plan on continuing the training the pivot and healing in different directions. Cody did ok today on his walk, there were two dogs being walked across the street but it was a training opportunity for me and cody. cody was very nervous but did well. I was grateful for the training opportunity.
I am going to begin more training with Terra. I think she is well enough now. She is trying to learn everything I teach the other dogs. So, we will try and teach her some pivot, heeling, maybe some fun nose work. She loves to sniff for things.
Bindi, on her rally o moves. I plan to play with them. I am trying to get them into tugging. Two of my dogs don't play, and are just getting warmed up to playing with toys. Terra loves toys, so I am introducing the tug to her.
That's it! sharon
