I will be taking him out to Duane's club this Wednesday but have no concrete plans on talking to someone. Just observing and being observed is all I'm after this week. So much else going on!
That will help a lot to have somebody watch. You probably just need to slow down and make him hit the tug carefully from a sit and grad speed it up....I had to do that, I probably posted about it a long time ago and somebody told me to that. It worked. I still get bit though, the game can be so fast and I mess up.
Separately, he learned to bite my hand so I would drop the tug, now THAT he got corrected for!
Anyway, good luck.
A tired dog is a good dog, a trained dog is a better dog.
Got to go out to the SCH club this evening with Radar and learned a few things on how to encourage him to stop being so chompy on the tug. I'm surprised at how well he behaved, and I'm definitely going to be harder on him from here on out. It's evident that he's been playing me like a fiddle by pretending he doesn't 'get it' when he obviously does when the heat is piled on.
