And "For the Good Times" makes me remember another oldie ..... "Ain't It Funny (How Time Slips Away" .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UCqAt6-sptk
Sadly, I just saw that Ray Price passed away today at the age of 87. It's hard to pick a favorite from his amazing career. I always liked this one:
I had the good fortune to see Ray Price in concert. By that time he had been rode hard and put away wet but it was still great.
"For the Good Times" is still my fav of his if I had to pick, but there were many.
Willie Nelson and Glen Cambell were just two named musicians that were, at one time, part of the musicians in his band/group.

I did NOT know KK wrote "For the Good Times".
He wrote a lot. He wrote pretty much all his own stuff plus lots of other singers' stuff .... "Me and Bobby McGee," "Silver-Tongue Devil," "Loving Her Was Easier (than Anything I'll Ever Do Again)," "Help Me Make It Through the Night," "For the Good Times" .... just a sampling.
I did know about "Me and Bobby McGee" for some reason. I believe I've heard him sing it also.
He certainly picked the right person to sing it but it was actually released about 3-4 months after JJ died.
KK was also a golden gloves boxer and a Rhodes scholar.
Duane, I vividly recall watching the Osmonds on Andy's show. That was one of the tv shows my dad never missed.
I still think Marie is one of the purdiest wimmins out there today.
