Green dog for future competition. Has to have enough drive to title. I don't need to win any HOT trials, but want to have fun. Don't care about breeding potential (except to the extent that if the dog shows himself over time to be a real addition to the breed I would seek the advice of others more qualified than myself on the possibility of breeding down the road).
The showstopper category is that the dog has to be reliable around kids. I don't allow unsupervised kid/dog interaction, but don't want to have to put the dog up around the house.

Are you specifically looking for a dog in your area or would you consider shipping from another state? If so, I can put you in touch with my breeder in CA. He frequently has adult dogs for sale.
Oops...I should have said that he often has adult GSD's for sale as wel as Mal's :-)
I could be wrong, but I think he only wants a rescue - "Having had a great experience with rescue (Konig came from the Chicago pound), we'd like to do that again."

I wasn't certain so I just thought I'd put it out there. My breeder could possibly help there, too, if the distance wouldn't be a problem. I'd be happy to check with him.
