I want to move into a house share....so far it's been "fun" finding one that doesn't require myself and all pets (including my SNAKE) to be vegetarian...the scary part is these households already have dogs and cats (vegetarian dogs are scary, vegetarian cats...I thought that would kill them?)
Are you sure they require the *animals* be vegetarian as well?

yes! that was the scary part!!! they specifically said (very proudly) that ALL of the animals in the house were vegetarian with their owners!!!! I mentioned that I had a snake and dog (I can deal with not eatting meat in the house, that's what friends' apartments are for... that's not problem)...they proudly talked about how their dog and cat are vegetarian and their kibble was free from all meat and how they got raw veggies....they suggested I look up how to feed my snake vegetarian if I was interested....I politely turned down their invite....

I'd chat with your landlord before your neighbors do. Having a land lord on your side for an obvious "well what else is she going to do with it?" is a huge help for overly dog unfriendly neighbors.
A couple years ago some know it all complained about my blue tarp covering my boat in winter being an eyesore in my backyard. I corrected the issue with a hunter orange camo one from cabelas. I found it funny that when the blue tarp came out the next year not a peep was said about it.
Wow Jamie your neighbors sound worse than mine and I wasn't sure that was possible. Were you there first? If so I would say they came to the nuisance! I mean really what could they possibly expect you to do about it?
Dogs are allowed in your apartment complex. You are a very conscientious dog owner. You have a lot of snow and are doing your best under the circumstances you're in. I agree with talking to the manager. Preempt any problems and lay out the issue and ask them for a solution. They'll probably tell you you're doing just fine. End of story.

Far more mature a suggestion than mine or Michael's... but no where near as fun.
It is amazing that this is even a topic of discussion, isn't it? People being offended by pure, organic, "green", yellow snow... Can't get much more natural than this.
Any kids in the complex? Give them all a spray bottle of kool aid mixed with water to paint the snow. Trust me, they won't notice the yellow spots after.
