Apparently she just vacated the premises recently when the landlord kicked her out. She told a couple of rescue friends to come get the dogs after she left and 4 or 5 were found.
She was staying fairly local at a friends home when it hit the evening news.
The containers full of bones is what they found not a start of clean up.
In April she posted a Craig list notice stating that she would be closing because of personal problems. I believe that is about the time her husband was arrested on parole violations.
=( that's so sad. I hate horror stories like these, they are the worst. It's hard to understand how these things can happen. How did the authorities not notice if they had been there only a month or two prior?
She was only on that property for a year. By the amount of bones it really looks like she started killing them from day one as she collected donations.
Anytime you sell, rehome a dog please make sure you know where the dog is going.
I personally went to the property to meet with Christiane, to talk about turning over my dalmatian, Bean, because I could no longer afford her healthcare and was looking for a rescue that could help her.
I'm just at a loss for words. A family ended up adopting my Bean directly from me, and got her fixed up. Thank god.

Did anything seem unusual when you went there Samantha? With the amount of bones they are finding it seems like dogs were left to die/be killed from day one.

i can't access the youtube video's...it says it's private and i have to be invited to view it.
but the article was bad enough.
The Foster Family that had Tucker was a horrible place. Smelly, dirty and from what i was hearing they kept Tucker in the basement most of the time. I think that even if i hadn't already 60% decided i wanted him, i would've taken him anyway just to get him out of there.
I emailed the rescue and told them my concerns, but i never heard anything back from them.

A person in our agility class fostered Golden Retrievers. She said they never did a home check or anything on people wanting to become foster parents, only people who wanted to adopt. What a shame.
