as for being overweight, we actually slimed the girls down since last winter, Bridget was 225, not fat but a bit buttery.
their silouete now is like an hourglass shape.
As for the amount of oil, I'm going to go with at least 15 grams, that would be 3/4gram per 10lbs. as for vit.E I think if I give 1200IU to each of the mastiffs that will be good.
Pisa is getting 6gram oil and 400IU vit.E,
the only question left is should the dose be split up twice a day or just give all at one feeding?

Oils don't need to be split up unless there is some gut problem with them, which, in all my experience (meaning board experience as well as "real life"), I have not heard of with dogs and fish oil.
I take the mercola krill oil and I think it does great for my back pain compared to fish oil, I have mild scoliosis that was aggravated by a car accident and this definitely made a difference. Its not the only thing I do but I could definitely tell a difference when I added that.
I do know that fish oil has more EPA/DHA so for some things you may want both or the fish oil.
And yes, some of the brands out there are crap, either processed too much or even rancid like some I bought. Yuck!
