am a little surprised that a two-month-old puppy who has been with you only a couple of days would have needed any kind of correcting at all, but maybe the term means different things to you and
to me .... ?
By correction, I mean a verbal "NOOOO..." in a serious voice. I should have been more specific.
I do not have a puppy area yet in my farm cottage. He sleeps on the same floor as I do and he chews on my pillow, the rose bushes, twigs, my water bottle, my slippers, my car keys , my black berry etc.
Thats when I have to give him a NOOOOOOO correction
Congratulations on adding Sadha to your pack! I'm sure he's already well on his way to carving out his own little niche in your heart. I'm looking forward to hearing all about your adventures with him.
We came home at 4.30 PM and all my dogs were crying and howling to meet me.
I picked up Sadha in my hands and squatted on the ground and asked to open the door so that the other dogs can come and meet me. They were very exited to see me after 13 days. They smelt Sadha while I had him in my hands. Any over enthusiastic moves by them were discouraged by me with a very serious NO.
After a few minutes of this they showed no interest in the puppy and were begging for petting from me.
I let Sadha down and he started running and jumping around. Again I prevented any of my other dogs from even approaching Sadha, or showing any interest in him.
After 10 minutes of this, I slowly started allowing some interaction with Kari, and then Helga and then Bommi. When he was annoying them too much they would growl and he would lie down and stop.
In 30 minutes time they were all playing together. i.e. Sadha was playing and the others were ignoring him.
I put Sadha separately for the day and I had an other session this morning. It went very well. Sadha was licking their faces and they were greeting him and playing with him. Afer about 30 minutes of this. I have put him separately again.
Overall, I am pleased with my other dogs and Sadha.
