Yes, I have my own set of problems with ADI.....
I think with education, it's important that business and the public know both sides of the issue, ie, that working service dogs cannot be denied public access, but also that business owners are perfectly within their rights to ask that a dog leave if it's causing a disturbance.
As for standardized testing, I think it's good when school have a "gold standard" that they train to, but I don't think it's at all feasible to have mandatory testing across the board. Just become some people can't train them properly, well dogs are opportunistic and even certified dogs will regress and pick up bad habits in wrong hands.
It kind of bugged me that they called it an industry. It can be, but it certainly doesn't have to be. And the more you look at service dogs as an industry as opposed to a specialized tailor made tool, the easier it is to call for government regulations.
