Connie, I had to laugh at the low level of saliva production!!! He's a little like a St Bernard! His teeth are excellent and straight so good there. Only in the last year have I seen any buildup since I have been having trouble finding suitable chewing bones. So at least no old tartar. But there is some new tartar.
I will continue to find suitable things for him to chew and clean teeth. He was put under so much as a puppy fixing his elbow that I do not want to have a dental done unless absolutely necessary. I will definitely look into manual teeth cleaning. I think there is a difference already in his teeth since swapping. Maybe we will be lucky and this will be what he needs. If not, we'll have to work harder.
Yes, I am doing more than half RMB's. I think it is probably close to 1 3/4 lb chicken back and 3/4 pound boneless thighs. Maybe that is too much RMB. My husband took him walking this morning and forgot to inspect poop. He said it was not runny but do not know if it was logs or balls.
We do have a place on the porch where we usually don't walk, with a roof, a window, and no other dogs to bother him. I just have to find an easy way to open and close a blockade.
I would say it is safe from other dogs until I let my two out last week for their morning pee, and a few minutes later went to the window to check on them and there were 6 dogs in our fenced in yard. A neighbor(worthless) keeps a small dog outside with almost no shelter, not even a windbreak. She's been there a few months. Turns out she's not spayed and was out looking for an intact male when she cane in heat, and crawled through our fence I presume looking for Tanka. 3 other males followed her in. She was tied to one when I looked out. They must have all been in the front yard when I let mine out the back. First time that has ever happened. I was lucky to not have a huge dog fight. No, blessed. It could have been very bad.

OMG!
I'm so sorry ... looks like you're back inside with the feeding and now facing a fence repair. What is WRING with those owners!?
It certainly could have been very bad.
I might also be taking pictures of the strays in my yard. And maybe more than one of the neighbor housing her dog outside in the elements and uncontained in any way.
I don't want to derail your thread .... I had to say that much, though. :-(
Actually the dog invasion happened the second day we were raw feeding so we weren't eating outside yet. They didn't damage the fence. It is 4 board wood and the bitch in heat was little and just hopped through. The other dogs came under through or over the top I guess. One was small enough to come through. I think the big ones came over. I have a picture of two tied together for the neighbor, but I would bet a lot on the fact that the dog will have puppies outside and if they survive they will be dropped off at the pound or along the road. I've spent days having to sit in court for these people when I called the police on them while they were robbing another neighbor.
I only know where one male belongs and he's roamed for the last few years intact. I actually talked to them about neutering him but they won't. And they won't keep him up either. Dog mentality around here is poor. What was sad is that these dogs hung around the neighbors for a week, and not one person came looking and took them home. One was wearing a sweater for Pete's sake.
Well that is a useless subject. We are looked on as odd for treating our dogs like family.
Unfortunately AC is a joke in our Cty. It was so bad they were shut down temporarily and revamped. Don't think it did much good. We and other neighbors called. No one came, but they did set a record for most amount of excuses in one call.
