Okay...here's the thing. I saw this episode last night, right after I had read your post about the introduction of the two dogs. I was completely blown away. The way you described it wasn't anything as bad as it actually was! Why the heck would they put the first dog which was already more docile in with an obviously submissive dog? This is a no brainer! Two submissive dogs...no issues! Then they put poor Ruger in with a different dog, for his very first meeting, with an aggressive dog! The aggressive dog almost tortured him trying to get him into a fight, I even saw it snap at him once! Ruger only shyed away and went into avoidance! How is this a dog with aggression problems? They want to see a dog with aggression problems, come to my house!! Then to end the show with Ruger in a cage by himself, still not adopted??? I was seriously pissed! Maybe they should try putting another couple of submissive dogs in with him a time or two, let him get used to the fact that he doesn't have to fear each an every encounter with strange dogs THEN try him with an dog like they used. Still, what did they want him to do? He avoided the other aggressive dog and even growled and tucked his tail but never did he snap like the other dog did! He even had his tail tucked and wouldn't look the other dog in the eye. They stood by and let the other dog posture, make extreme eye contract the entire time, jump up on him, try and engage him in a fight, THEN sprayed citronella on the dog that was avoiding the confrontation!!! GRRRRRRRRRr I'm sorry, that was just asenine!

...Perhaps we could just send them an article about the topic and praise the good things they are doing, might get a better response...
Don't take it personally, but I'll put that on my list of things to NOT do in '08, right after "Quit being so cynical" and before "Convince everyone to switch to raw feeding."
After reading Robbin's review, I don't think I'll bother to watch the show, either.

I have to say I am confused by your post Robbin... is this directed at me? If it is, after saying it is nothing like I said you go on to say it is just like I said? The stress put on Ruger could have been avoided if they had bothered to pay attention to the behavior of the dog they chose to introduce to Ruger. As you pointed out they picked a smaller aggressive dog that was quite dominant despite LOTS of body language indicating a problem soon to be arising they did nothing, until the smaller dog bit Ruger, which you could see coming from a mile away.
I'm confused as to how I blew it out of proportion? I described what happened, no more

Paul, I have no idea where you're coming from, but if that comment was supposed to be sarcastic, it was completely out of line.
Sometimes things don't come out in print very well, but that's the only way it makes sense to me.

Whooooooooaaaaaa there!! Crazy child! LMBO!! Guess I didn't put my commas and my periods in the right places. hehehe.
I simply meant it was even worse than you made it sound. Once I saw it, I thought, holy crap@! Jennifer wasn't kidding! No offense AT ALL! Yes, sweety I was agreeing with you the ENTIRE TIME. Sometimes print can be whack!
